SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Mackenzie Hughes LLP will move its business office and 75 employees to the Galleries of Syracuse at 440 South Warren St. in December.

The 27,000-square-foot office space on the 4th floor of the Galleries building will serve as a “key anchor” to what will become known as the Mackenzie Hughes Tower, the law firm said in a news release issued Thursday.

The Syracuse–based firm currently operates in Suite 600 of the building at 101 S. Salina St. in Syracuse. The same building has a branch of M&T Bank on the first floor.

“Mackenzie Hughes has been in our current location in downtown Syracuse for more than a century,” Stephen Helmer, partner and chairman of the Mackenzie Hughes executive committee, said in the release. “We’re committed to Syracuse and excited to be a part of the rejuvenation that we’re seeing downtown in the area of South Salina and Warren Streets.”

David Flaum of the Flaum Management Company, Inc. is the building’s landlord. Mark Bethman of Bell Tenant Champions served as the broker for Mackenzie Hughes in the lease transaction, the law firm said.

Donna Kelly of DKM Interiors will provide interior-design services.

The new space in the Mackenzie Hughes Tower will include a training room for about 40 people, communication and document-management systems, and indoor parking for guests from the Tower’s South Salina Street entrance.

The firm’s employee count includes more than 30 attorneys, according to its website.
