DeWITT, N.Y. — The Manufacturers Association of Central New York (MACNY) announced it has promoted Mary Rowland to serve as the organization’s CFO.
Rowland started her duties in MACNY’s new CFO position on July 1, Marisa Norcross, communications manager at MACNY, tells BJNN in an email.
As CFO, Rowland will provide input in “key” decisions as a member of the MACNY executive-management team. She also oversees the organization’s administrative, financial, and risk-management accounting decisions, the association said in a release.
Rowland manages all financial reporting and monitors MACNY’s accounting systems and reports them to its finance committee. She also leads MACNY’s finance council, which has “finance-focused” professionals and business leaders gathering to “learn about what’s happening in the world of accounting and finance,” per the release.
Rowland, a certified public accountant (CPA), first joined MACNY in July 2014 as the association’s controller.
MACNY represents more than 300 companies in a 26-county region in Central and upstate New York. The 106-year-old organization provides human-resource services, training, purchasing options, networking opportunities, workforce development, and advocacy support for its members.
