William (Bill) Byrne of Byrne Dairy — a family-owned producer and distributor of milk, cream, ice cream, and other dairy products — and Jerry and Anne Menter of Hollowick, Inc. — a Manlius manufacturer of tabletop lighting and cooking fuel products — will accept their awards at MACNY’s 101st Annual Dinner on Thursday, May 8 in Syracuse.
MACNY says it will celebrate their accomplishments with hundreds of business and community leaders at the dinner and will commemorate them with a plaque on the Manufacturers Wall of Fame at MACNY’s headquarters.
“Manufacturing has long been the backbone of Central New York. These three outstanding individuals will be honored for their longstanding commitment to manufacturing excellence, and we applaud them for their leadership and success within their respective businesses and communities,” Randy Wolken, MACNY president, said in a news release.
Byrne and the Menters will be members of the 14th class to be inducted into the Manufacturers Wall of Fame since its establishment in 2001. They will join the ranks of past inductees who have given lifetime contributions and dedication to Central New York’s manufacturing base, according to MACNY.
Inductees from years past will also be attending and recognized for lifetime achievements at the dinner. The keynote speaker will be pollster John Zogby, who will be overview the latest Manufacturing Research Institute study and presenting on the topic, “Millenials and Manufacturing: Are We Prepared For Our Next Generation Workforce?”
