MADDIE KOBELT, a 2014 Syracuse University graduate, has returned to her alma mater to serve as an assistant tennis coach. She played for the Orange from 2011-14, was an All-ACC and All-BIG EAST performer, and served as a team captain as a senior. Kobelt has served as an assistant coach for both the women’s and men’s tennis teams at Kenyon College since 2018. Following her collegiate career at Syracuse, Kobelt, who earned her bachelor’s degree in health and exercise science, competed on the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) Tour and International Tennis Federation (ITF) pro circuit. From 2014-2020 she earned career-high WTA world rankings of No. 893 in singles and No. 294 in doubles along with 12 ITF doubles titles.
