Madison County announces potential public exposures to COVID-19 at store and pub

WAMPSVILLE, N.Y. — The Madison County Health Department on Friday announced that individuals who recently visited the Erieville Country Store in Erieville and Ye Olde Pizza Pub in Hamilton tested positive for COVID-19.

Members of the public who visited these businesses during the below dates and times should self-monitor for symptoms.

Erieville Country Store, 2749-2795 Erieville Road, Erieville

• Time and Date of exposure: Oct. 9, between 2 and 8:30 p.m.; Oct. 10, between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m.; and Oct. 11, between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m.
• Wore Mask: yes
• Symptom monitoring period: up to Oct. 25

Ye Olde Pizza Pub, 2528 NY-12B, Hamilton

• Time and Date of exposure: Oct. 13, between 4 and 7:30 p.m.
• Wore Mask: yes
• Symptom monitoring period: up to Oct. 27

Anyone who visited these locations during the identified times should monitor themselves for symptoms of COVID-19. Those symptoms include fever, cough, chills, muscle pain, sore throat, new loss of taste or smell, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea, and/or difficulty breathing.

Madison County said it partners with SUNY Upstate Medical University to hold COVID-19 diagnostic mobile testing clinics; the next test dates are Oct. 22 in Cazenovia and Oct. 29 in Wampsville. Testing is available to anyone interested at no cost to the patient; however, they are by appointment only.
