Madison County small-business summit set for Jan. 10

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. — The Madison County Rural Equity Group is hosting a small-business summit on Jan. 10 at SUNY Morrisville’s Charlton Hall from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

The event is open to everyone from new entrepreneurs to veteran small business owners.

The summit will cover a wide range of topics including access to capital, regional resources for small business, accessing international markets, cybersecurity, government contracting, developing the workforce, marketing, and a roundtable on rural women in business.

There will also be opportunities for networking and one-on-one advising sessions with the Small Business Development Center, the U.S. Small Business Administration, Partnership for Community Development, and WISE Women’s Business Center.

The Madison County Rural Equity Group is comprised of local, state, and national small-business support agencies including The HUB-Partnership for Community Development, Onondaga Small Business Development Center, U.S. Small Business Administration, SUNY Morrisville, SCORE Central NY, WISE Women’s Business Center, and Madison County.
