GREENE — James J. Malvaso, president and CEO of Toyota Material Handling North America (TMHNA), the parent company of The Raymond Corp., will retire effective April 1.
“Jim has been a tremendous leader for the Raymond Corp., TMHNA, and the entire material-handling industry,” Toyota Material Handling Group President Kazue Sasaki said in a release. “His leadership capabilities, coupled with his strategic vision, have significantly contributed to the organization’s success and market-leading position. Following his formal retirement, I look forward to his continued counsel and support in the capacity of a Toyota Material Handling Group senior advisor.”
Brett Wood will become TMHNA’s new president and CEO effective April 1. He currently serves as executive vice president of TMHNA and chairman of Toyota Material Handling U.S.A., Inc. (TMHU).

More than 10,000 employees work at TMHNA companies including Toyota’s and Raymond’s 345 dealer locations.
Raymond is based in Greene, near Binghamton.
