NORWICH — Mang Insurance Agency, LLC, promoted Richard Campagna to the position of chief operating officer at the Norwich–based insurance firm.

Campagna joined the agency in 2011 as chief financial officer. He has 31 years of insurance and financial-services industry experience. Campagna is a 1977 graduate of the University of Scranton with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He is also a certified public accountant.

“Rich has brought strong management capabilities to the agency and has been instrumental in implementing operational improvements to the agency, and his continued efforts will be a major contribution to the agency’s future success,” Mang CEO Richard Mirabito said in a release.

Headquartered in Norwich, Mang Insurance Agency provides insurance services to individuals and businesses from more than 20 offices in upstate New York and Vermont. The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of NBT Bancorp, Inc., a financial holding company with $6 billion in assets.
