BINGHAMTON, N.Y. — McFarland Johnson (MJ) has announced the creation of a wholly owned subsidiary focused on developing technology-based, infrastructure-management products.
The subsidiary is called InfraSolutions by McFarland Johnson.
Headquartered in Binghamton, McFarland Johnson is a planning, engineering, and construction-services firm that is fully owned by its employees.
The main operations of InfraSolutions will function in the firm’s Binghamton office but will serve clients across the U.S. from its 16 MJ offices, Jill Johnson, business development director of aviation, tells CNYBJ in an email.
Infrastructure administrators and managers need “intuitive and easy-to-use” products for planning, project management, and decision making to increase efficiency and help solve their “greatest challenges,” MJ said.
“MJ has been a front runner in the development of technology-based planning solutions, Chad Nixon, president and chairman of the board of directors of McFarland Johnson, said in a release. “Establishing InfraSolutions by McFarland Johnson reinforces our long-term goals and ongoing commitment to transforming how airport and transportation decision-makers view data resources to improve processes and better resolve critical issues.”
The Dynamic Planning Solution, described as the firm’s “premiere platform,” is a patented planning and project-management product, MJ said. The new InfraSolutions by McFarland Johnson brand will offer that platform — along with the firm’s other technology products and services — and “will continue to be enhanced with new functionality,” it added.
Besides its Binghamton headquarters, MJ also operates New York offices in Pittsford, near Rochester, and Saratoga Springs, near Albany. It also has offices in Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont, Florida, South Carolina, and Ohio.
