SYRACUSE — The board of directors at the McMahon/Ryan Child Advocacy Center on Friday announced the hiring of Linda Cleary as the organization’s executive director.
Cleary manages the center’s staff and operations, and began her duties this week, the organization said in a news release. The nonprofit agency provides and coordinates multi-agency services for child abuse and neglect victims in Onondaga County.
She most recently served as executive director of the Children’s Consortium in Syracuse. Prior to that, she was director of youth and parent programming for the Prevention Network, which provides Onondaga County residents with alcohol, substance abuse, and prevention services.
Cleary replaces Julie Cecile, who served as McMahon/Ryan’s executive director for five years before her election as an Onondaga County Family Court judge last November.
