BINGHAMTON — Binghamton University’s Mechanical Engineering Department, in conjunction with the Southern Tier of NY Mechanical Contractors Association (MCA) and the Mechanical Contractors Association of America, established the first New York State MCA Student Chapter.
The Binghamton University MCA Student Chapter gives students the opportunity to learn about the mechanical industry, network with prospective employers, perform community service, and receive education relevant to a career in the mechanical-contracting industry.
The Binghamton University chapter received a $3,000 grant from the national Mechanical Contractors Association of America to launch the chapter and the Southern Tier of NY MCA (www.stnymca.com) will provide sponsorship funds and mentoring throughout the year.
