SHERBURNE, N.Y. — The Mid-York Press, Inc. of Sherburne is adding a new color printing press with plans to add as many as 20 new employees by the first quarter of 2018 as well.
The company describes itself as a national supplier of printed packaging, folding cartons, and package inserts. It also provides commercial-printing services in both sheet fed offset and digital technologies.
“We are nearly doubling our printing capacity because we cannot meet demand with our current equipment,” Robert Tenney, president of the Mid-York Press, said in a news release. “We need the new equipment yesterday but we are just going to have to wait until it is built.”

The printing press will ship from Heidelberg, Germany in September and should arrive at Mid-York in mid-October. It will take about six weeks to install the new press.
