Mirabito names Meehan VP for home-comfort division

BINGHAMTON — Mirabito Energy Products has appointed Matthew Meehan as vice president of its home-comfort division, effective Jan. 1.

Meehan began his career at Mirabito in February 2004 as a manager trainee in Marcy, the firm said in a news release. He later moved to Syracuse to manage the operations of the newly acquired Oneida Lake Petroleum.

In 2009, Meehan relocated to the Mirabito corporate offices in Binghamton to assume the role of assistant general manager of home comfort and real estate, the company said. In mid-2010, the firm named Meehan general manager of the home-comfort division.

During Meehan’s tenure, Mirabito Energy Products has completed 11 acquisitions and has progressed with the “utilization and implementation of technology” within the home- comfort delivery system, according to the Mirabito news release.

As Mirabito Energy Products continues to “grow and expand” its marketing areas, the firm needs to make sure it has the “appropriate” leadership and organizational structure in place, Joe Mirabito, company CEO, said in the news release.

The Mirabito family of companies serves customers from locations throughout New York and Massachusetts.

The companies include Mirabito Energy Products; Mirabito, Quickway, and Convenience Express stores; Old Road Truck Repair; and the Rewards Plus customer- loyalty program.

The Mirabito corporate offices are located at 49 Court St. in Binghamton’s Metro Center.
