BINGHAMTON — The Mirabito family of companies today announced plans to acquire the Manley’s Mighty Marts convenience store and gas station chain in the Southern Tier.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
Manley’s Mighty Marts currently has 17 stores in locations including Binghamton, Endicott, Endwell, Vestal, Johnson City, Windsor, Ithaca, and Glen Aubrey, Mirabito said in a news release.
Mirabito currently operates 57 Mirabito Convenience Stores, Convenience Express, and Quickway Food Store locations throughout Central New York. With the addition of the Manley’s locations, the Mirabito store count will grow to 74, the company said.
The new sites will begin transitioning on Monday, April 28. Mirabito said it will initially operate the Manley’s stores independently, maintaining all current programs and offerings.
Mirabito has assured all customers that the changeover “should be seamless,” according to the firm’s news release.
Mirabito is “pleased” that [Manley’s owner] Tony Manley has accepted the offer to purchase his locations, Joseph Mirabito, CEO of Mirabito, said in the release.
“Mr. Manley grew his business much like our family grew ours, through hard work and dedication both to customers and community,” Mirabito said.
Mirabito Convenience Stores is part of the Mirabito family of companies, which also includes Mirabito Energy Products, the Mirabito Rewards Program, according to the company website.
The Mirabito family of companies operates in eight states with multiple divisions including natural gas and electric, home-heating products and services, wholesale energy products and services, convenience stores and gas stations, and Mirabito truck repair.
