MOST president resigns, accepts job in Tennessee

Her last day is Aug. 24, the organization said in an email response to a BJNN inquiry. Martin, the organization’s third president, started her duties at the MOST Jan. 1, 2016.

“During her two and a half year tenure, Toni has played an essential role in the MOST’s focus on a high-quality museum environment and STEM education programming,” Howard Hollander, chair of the MOST’s board of directors, said in the news release. “We congratulate Toni and wish her the best.”

Lauren Kochian, executive vice president at the MOST, will serve as interim-president upon Martin’s departure. A committee of the board of directors will begin an executive search for the museum’s next president.

The MOST, which is located at 500 Franklin St. in Syracuse’s Armory Square district, operates in the former Armory, from which that area of the city takes its name.

The MOST describes itself as a “hands-on science and technology museum for all ages.”
