SYRACUSE — The Central New York regional president for M&T bank has been elected chairman of the board of trustees at Onondaga Community College (OCC).
Allen Naples has been a member of the board since 2011. He succeeds Margaret “Meg” O’Connell, who resigned as chairman to become OCC’s interim president.
The school’s former president, Debbie Sydow, is now the president of Richard Bland College in Petersburg, Va. Lochlin Partners of McLean, Va. is conducting a nationwide search for a new OCC president.

Naples joined M&T in 2005 after working for HSBC bank for 23 years. He is also chairman of the board of directors at CenterState CEO.
OCC trustees also re-elected Steven Aiello, president of COR Development Co., LLC, as board vice chairman and Edward Heinrich, an administrator in secondary and higher education, as secretary.
