Both agreements will help students who graduate from MVCC transfer more easily into certain bachelor’s-degree programs, MVCC announced Friday.
The agreement with SUNY Potsdam gives students who graduated from MVCC’s degree program in liberal arts and sciences, math & science, geology “guaranteed admission” to either the bachelor of arts or bachelor of science degree programs in geology at SUNY Potsdam, MVCC said.
Students will need to complete an additional 58 to 60 credits to earn their bachelor’s degree. Transfer scholarships are available to students who graduate with a grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher, and are renewable for one year if the student maintains that GPA.
MVCC has also added two new agreements with SUNY Cobleskill.
These agreements “guarantee admission” to graduates of MVCC’s associate of science and associate of applied science degree programs in business administration who have a GPA of 2.25 or greater to SUNY Cobleskill’s bachelor’s degree in business administration.
Cobleskill will accept students who meet the requirements as full juniors and will only need 58 additional credits to complete the bachelor’s degree program.
