MVCC to expand shuttle service to Rome campus

UTICA, N.Y. — Mohawk Valley Community College (MVCC) will expand shuttle service to its Rome campus this fall.

MVCC plans to expand the service from two to five days to “make it easier” for students who need to commute from one campus to the other, the school said in a news release last Friday.

The direct shuttle service is provided through a partnership between MVCC and Rome–based Birnie Bus Service, Inc.

The service is free to all students with an MVCC identification card. The school offers three shuttles per day Monday through Thursday and two shuttles on Fridays.

The estimated travel time between campuses is 30 minutes. MVCC schedules the shuttle times during “peak” campus-to-campus travel times.
