UTICA, N.Y. — Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) has announced an expansion of its sign-on bonus program for new employees along with an enhanced referral program for current staff members to help with recruiting new employees.

MVHS has added more positions that are eligible for the bonus, with up to $1,000 paid out over the course of a year of employment. This is in addition to existing $5,000 and $10,000 bonuses for new and experienced registered nurses.

Under the referral bonus program, current MVHS employees get receive up to $5,000 for referring a registered nurse. Referrals for many other positions can yield up to $1,000.

The list of positions eligible for both bonus programs includes: registered nurses, nurse techs/care attendances, obstetric techs, psychiatric assistants, emergency department assistants, dialysis licensed practical nurses, PCT (dialysis), unit secretaries, monitor techs, ward clerks I and II, respiratory therapist/technicians, laundry service workers, social service caseworkers, phlebotomists, housekeeping/EVS, nutrition services positions, and laundry positions.
