UTICA, N.Y. — Anthony Dischiavi has been named director of medical imaging at the Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS).

In this position, he is responsible for directing and coordinating all activities of the medical imaging department at MVHS. He is also responsible for operational supervision and strategic leadership while providing oversight to all functional, clinical and programmatic services related to medical imaging, the health-care organization said in a news release.

Dischiavi has worked at MVHS since 2003 and has served as CT technologist and cross sectional/CT physics instructor and patient care instructor at the Faxton St. Luke’s School of Radiology in Utica. He most recently held the position of assistant director and systems administrator for the medical imaging department at MVHS.

Dischiavi received his diploma in medical radiography from the Faxton St. Luke’s School of Medical Radiography in Utica, and his associate degree from Herkimer County Community College. He earned his bachelor’s degree from SUNY Empire State College.
