UTICA, N.Y. — The man who served as COO of St. Elizabeth Medical Center (SEMC) in Utica now holds the same role for the Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS).
MVHS has named Robert Scholefield executive VP and COO.
MVHS is an affiliation of SEMC and Faxton St. Luke’s Healthcare (FSLH). The two organizations came together in March 2014.
Scholefield has served as senior VP of operations for MVHS since March 2014, the organization said in a news release issued Tuesday.
He has worked at SEMC for more than 30 years, having previously served as assistant director and director of nursing and VP of nursing, according to MVHS.
In this new role, Scholefield is responsible for the health-care system’s operations, overseeing a number of departments and programs.
He’ll also work with the executive director and medical director of the MVHS Medical Group, the organization said.
