TULLY, N.Y. — NBT Bank has announced the hiring of Michael Thomas as branch manager of the bank’s Tully office.
In this position, he has responsibility for the management of all branch banking activities and business-development efforts in the Tully area.
Thomas has 19 years experience in banking and retail management, NBT Bank said in a news release issued on Friday.
Before joining NBT Bank, he managed the Citizens Bank office located in the Western Lights Shopping Center in Syracuse.
Thomas also served as business and general manager at automobile dealerships in the Syracuse area where he was responsible for arranging customer financing, leading operations, and new car sales.
A resident of DeWitt, Thomas earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin. He volunteers at the Children’s Consortium that promotes the health and success of children by investing in resources, information, and training that builds upon the strengths of children, families, and educators in the community.
NBT Bank offers personal banking, asset management and business services through a network of over 155 locations in six states.
NBT Bank and its parent company, NBT Bancorp (NASDAQ: NBTB), are headquartered in Norwich. NBT Bancorp had assets of $8.1 billion as of June 30, 2015, the banking company said.
