NORWICH, N.Y. — NBT Bank announced it has appointed Joseph Ondesko as its corporate treasurer.
Ondesko was promoted from senior VP and assistant treasurer, a position he held since joining NBT in August 2020.
“Joe has proven to be a strong leader and strategic contributor to our efforts,” Scott Kingsley, executive VP and chief financial officer at NBT Bank, said in a release. “I look forward to seeing his impact expand in this new leadership role.”
Ondesko has more than 15 years of financial and accounting experience. He served as chief financial officer, chief investment officer, and head of information technology at the Bank of Akron before joining NBT. Prior to that, he held senior Treasury positions with both KeyBank and First Niagara.
Ondesko earned an MBA in finance and a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Canisius College in Buffalo.
NBT Bank offers personal banking, business banking, and wealth-management services from offices in seven states: New York, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, and Connecticut. The bank and its parent company, NBT Bancorp (NASDAQ: NBTB), are headquartered in Norwich. NBT Bancorp had assets of $11.6 billion as of mid-year.
