NORWICH — NBT Bank recently promoted Brian Voss, director of business development, to senior vice president at NBT Financial Group.

NBT Financial Group, a division of the bank, provides trust, investment, insurance, and retirement services to individuals and organizations across NBT’s five-state footprint.

“I congratulate Brian on this achievement,” Timothy Brenner, president of wealth management at NBT Bank, said in a news release. “[Brian’s] experience and skills leading his team to provide effective financial planning and wealth management solutions to our clients, makes him an important asset to our organization.”

Voss joined NBT Financial Group in 2003. As director of business development, he oversees bankwide business development for wealth-management services. His previous roles have included stints as financial consultant, market manager, and director of brokerage services. Voss holds a bachelor’s degree in applied economics and management from Cornell University. Before joining the bank, he was a financial planner at Norwich–based Elwyn G.
