New Business Council website promotes New York firms

The Business Council of New York State, Inc. launched a website to spotlight the state’s businesses.

The website, MADEinNY.org, has the primary goal of featuring manufacturers, including producers of food, textiles, and electronic equipment. But it also highlights companies selling other products and services, including tourist destinations and educational institutions.

“Consumers who buy products and services sold by New York companies are actively helping to create jobs and strengthen our economy,” Business Council President and CEO Heather Briccetti said in a news release. “Our new website is a terrific way to highlight and promote the wide range of products made by companies here in New York.”

The council represents the interests of large and small firms throughout New York. Its membership consists of companies, local chambers of commerce, professional associations, and trade associations.
