New cake-decorating business to open in Little Falls

LITTLE FALLS — Hannah’s Signature Cakes, a new business specializing in cake decorating, will formally open at 54 W. Main St in Little Falls this Saturday. The Herkimer County Chamber of Commerce will be on hand for a ribbon-cutting event at 10 a.m.

Hannah Perry, along with her husband, Edmond Perry, own and operate the business, according to Barbara West, Edmond’s mother.

Hannah Perry implied in a news release that the business is an outgrowth from her passion for decorating cakes for weddings and other occasions.

“I have been decorating cakes for more than 10 years and baking even longer. Designing wedding and specialty cakes has become something that I love to do and it shows through my creations,” she said in the release. “The best part about our cakes is that we focus on taste as much as the appearance of your design.”

Hannah’s Signature Cakes will design cakes for weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, or any other special occasion. But the business says it’ll be more than just a cake store, serving as a dessert café as well. Customers will be able to sit down for a cup of coffee and try desserts and sweets like fudge, Tiramisu, a variety of pies, and Hannah’s own recipes, according to West.
