“I would like to extend a warm welcome to CNY SHRM’s new Executive Board… Your willingness to volunteer your time and effort, as well as express your opinions, has contributed to your being selected,” Iolanda Cooper, CNY SHRM’s immediate past president, said in a news release. “We trust that you will continue to work for human resource professionals in Central New York, particularly in our proud tradition of providing meaningful connections to our members. You have our full support. I wish you all the best in your new term as officers.”

Cooper recently joined SHRM’s State Council as district director and will continue providing support as the chapter’s immediate past president.

The CNY SHRM executive board is responsible for overseeing the chapter’s operations and supporting its mission to support the development of local HR professionals and organizational leaders in all stages of their careers. Positions on CNY SHRM’s executive board are elected by the chapter’s members.

CNY SHRM is a volunteer-led organization bolstered by recruiting, training, recognition, communications, and succession planning for its volunteers.
