SYRACUSE — Syracuse’s newest grocery store is now open at 1605 Erie Blvd. East.

The new PriceRite location held its grand opening yesterday. The store is the chain’s 10th in New York and it will employ 130 people in full- and part-time positions.

PriceRite has additional Upstate stores in Schenectady, Queensbury, Rochester, Vestal, and Buffalo. The chain is a subsidiary of Wakefern Food Corp. of Elizabeth, N.J. and it has more than 40 stores in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Rhode Island.
