ROME, N.Y. — A new Hampton Inn in Rome is holding a formal grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony on Jan. 29 at 5 p.m.
The inn, located at 1352 Floyd Ave., has 94 rooms and encompasses 55,000 square feet, according to Jessica Coleman-Hernandez, general manager of the hotel. It is one of more than 35 hotels owned by Visions Hotels, based in Corning, according to Emily Cuda, sales manager.
The “First Dollar of Profit” award will be presented during the ceremony to the owner of Visions Hotels, Hemant Patel, the company’s vice president of operations, Rakesh Patel, as well as Coleman-Hernandez and Cuda.
Jennifer Grimaldi, co-chair of the Rome Area Chamber of Commerce Membership Committee, will present the award.
The Rome Hampton Inn has been open for business since Dec. 17, according to Coleman-Hernandez.
