AURELIUS — The Fingerlakes Mall on Wednesday announced that an Auburn Italian restaurant will open a second location in the mall, but under a different name.

Sal Musumeci, who operates GJP Italian Eatery on Grant Avenue in Auburn, will open a second restaurant under the name Brooklyn Slice Italian Eatery, Fingerlakes Mall said in a news release.

Its menu will include pizza, pasta, salads, and daily specials.

Musumeci plans to renovate the existing 1,075-square-foot space, where the restaurant will operate, the mall said. That location had been home to another pizza business.

The renovation work, which will include new pizza ovens, painting, lighting, and signage, begins “within the next week,” Fingerlakes Mall said.

Brooklyn Slice Italian Eatery will have a formal opening in early May, according to the news release.
