MANLIUS — KeyBank opened a new branch in Manlius this week.

The 3,900-square-foot office, at 7670 Highbridge Road, features four teller stations, five private offices, a conference room, drive-up window, ATM, night depository, and parking, according to Key.

Kevin Holmquist, a 20-year employee at Key who was previously relationship manager at Key’s Nottingham branch, is the new branch manager. He will lead a staff of eight people including four tellers, a customer service manager, two licensed relationship managers specializing in investments and small business, and a Key Investment Services adviser.

The branch also offers clients access to business banking, Key Private Bank, and KeyBank mortgage relationship managers

Key plans to donate a total of $5,000 to seven local nonprofit organizations to celebrate the branch opening. Manlius residents can help choose the groups by picking up a ballot at the new branch and voting in the “You Choose, Manlius!” a promotion.

Winners will be announced Oct. 29.

“Our branches are designed and located to enhance our delivery channels, to be good neighbors and to fit compatibly and conveniently in our communities,” Stephen Fournier, president for Key’s Central New York district, said in a news release. “The Manlius branch does just that, and ‘You Choose, Manlius!’ is a great opportunity to shine the spotlight on some local nonprofits.”

The bank said in August it will close a local branch on Butternut Street in Syracuse.

Based in Cleveland, Key has more than 1,000 branches in 14 states and assets of more than $87 billion.

KeyBank is number two in the Syracuse–area deposit market with 28 branch offices, more than $1.7 billion in deposits, and a market share of more than 16 percent. In the Utica–Rome area, Key has two branches, more than $64.4 million in deposits, and a deposit market share of more than 1.7 percent, according to the latest statistics from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp.
