New president takes over at L. & J.G. Stickley

MANLIUS — Edward Audi has moved into the position of president at L. & J.G. Stickley, Inc.

The wood and upholstered furniture manufacturer told employees about Audi’s appointment Dec. 1. He had been the company’s executive vice president and president of its Stickley International division.

Audi assumes the president role formerly held by his mother, Aminy Audi. She is remaining as Stickley’s CEO and the chairman of its board of directors. The Audi family holds 100 percent of the company.

“Over the past five years, my mother and I have worked very closely on all major decisions at Stickley,” Edward Audi says. “And this is just a natural progression with additional responsibilities for me in manufacturing, product development, and human resources.”

Stickley is working to develop a contract and hospitality division focusing on four-star and five-star hotels, as well as boosting its work with institutional businesses, he adds. And it wants to open five to 10 new stores over the next several years in its existing markets.

The company has 14 retail locations in New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Colorado. It operates a 425,000-square-foot manufacturing facility at its headquarters at 1 Stickley Drive in Manlius. Stickley has about 1,000 employees in Central New York and 1,400 companywide.
