DeWITT — A new suite of tools for air traffic controllers developed in part by Saab Sensis is up and running at its first two airports.
Saab Sensis developed the new tools with NAV CANADA, the private-sector civil air navigation services provider in Canada, and Harris. The system, known as the Integrated Tower Automation Suite (INTAS), is now up and running at Broome and Rockhampton Airports in Australia.
The suite provides a work station for air traffic controllers with up to four touch-screen monitors that display data and common input devices. The system gives controllers access to an array of tools in a single customizable platform, according to Sensis.
