ITHACA — Cellar d’Or Wine Boutique has started operations at 136 The Commons in Ithaca.

The Downtown Ithaca Alliance and the city of Ithaca plan to welcome the new store in an event on Wednesday afternoon at 4 p.m., according to a news release from the Downtown Ithaca Alliance.

The family-owned business specializes in small production, estate-bottled wines and ciders, the Downtown Ithaca Alliance said.

It works with many organic and biodynamic producers from around the world and the Finger Lakes region, the Downtown Ithaca Alliance added.

Store owners Olivia Shea and Mark Grimaldi held an open house on May 25.
