New York state added 11,500 private-sector jobs in November, ADP report says

Private-sector employers in New York state added 11,500 jobs in November, according to the latest ADP Regional Employment Report issued Wednesday.

Nearly all the jobs were produced in the service-producing sector, as only 100 jobs were added by good-producing employers, according to the report. ADP, a global payroll processing, HR, and employee-benefits firm, worked with Moody’s Analytics, Inc. to generate the report.

Private-sector jobs added/eliminated in November in the Empire State by select industries included:

o    Natural Resources, mining, and construction: +500

o    Manufacturing: -300

o    Professional and business services: +3,300

o    Trade, transportation, and utilities: +1,300

 

The New York State Department of Labor is scheduled to release its jobs report for November on Dec. 17, including jobs data by industry for New York state, its metro areas, and counties.
