New York state’s private-sector employers added 12,100 jobs during November. That’s according to the new ADP Regional Employment Report, produced by ADP — a global human resources, payroll, and benefits administration firm — in collaboration with Moody’s Analytics, Inc.

The report found that New York’s private-sector employers added 11,700 service-producing jobs last month and 400 goods-producing positions.

The trade, transportation and utilities sector added 3,400 jobs; professional and business services added 2,100 positions; and natural resources, mining, and construction added 900 jobs.

However, New York’s manufacturers shed 500 jobs in November, according to the ADP report.

The ADP Regional Employment Report measures the change in regional and state total private employment each month on a seasonally adjusted basis.

The report did not break out New York’s job growth by Upstate and Downstate.

The New York State Department of Labor will issue its November jobs report on Dec. 18. The department’s October report, issued on Nov. 20, found that the state lost 4,700 private-sector jobs that month.

However, the state’s economy added 110,000 private-sector jobs, a 1.5 percent gain, in the last year, ending in October. But, 99.4 percent of those positions were located Downstate, according to the state Labor Department data.
