Northeast Classic Car Museum renames events center after NBT Bank’s $25K donation

NORWICH — The Northeast Classic Car Museum in Norwich on Friday announced NBT Bank donated $25,000 to handle the cost of some interior improvements at the nonprofit organization.

NBT’s donation enables the museum to upgrade and enhance its banquet facility, revamp a catering-preparation area, enclose a storage area, install a sliding door room divider, purchase matching chairs and tables to complete seating for 250 people, and purchase a new projection screen, according to a joint statement released last Friday.

The new NBT Bank Event Center will provide a museum venue for large functions.

NBT Bank is supporting the Northeast Classic Car Museum in its efforts to finish and outfit the multi-function space that will become the NBT Bank Event Center, Daryl Forsythe, chairman of NBT Bank, said in the news release.

“The car museum’s vision to continue their development as a tourist destination that is self-sustaining and generates growth in Chenango County is one that is important to us too,” said Forsythe.

NBT Bank offers personal banking, asset management, and business services through a network of over 155 banking locations in five states, including upstate New York, northeastern Pennsylvania, northwestern Vermont, western Massachusetts, and southern New Hampshire.
