NY Daily News: Jets will return to SUNY Cortland for training camp

A report in today’s New York Daily Newssays the New York Jets will return to SUNY Cortland for training camp this summer.

The team in January announced it would explore other options in “what amounted to an option year for the club,” according to the article.

After their review, the Jets concluded that Cortland’s “secluded locale” offered “the best team bonding” experience for its training camp, the paper reported.

The Jets have come to Cortland for their training camp in four of the last five summers since 2009, the year that the team hired Rex Ryan as head coach.

The only exception was the lockout year of 2011 when the Jets held their camp in New Jersey.
