NYSEG Stadium in Binghamton to host fireworks display July 3

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. — The Binghamton Rumble Ponies are planning to hold the annual fireworks display at NYSEG Stadium over the Independence Day holiday weekend.

The Binghamton Rumble Ponies are the Double-A Affiliate of the New York Mets.

The event, referred to as “3rd at the Ballpark” with the “Bing Bang Boom fireworks series,” will take place at NYSEG Stadium in Binghamton on July 3 (if rain cancels it, they will hold the event July 4).

Gates will open at 6 p.m. and the evening includes a screening of the movie “Doolittle,” starting at 7:30 p.m., with fireworks to follow.

Those arriving at the start will see a screening of the Binghamton Mets 2014 championship game before the movie begins.

Guests can purchase socially distanced general-admission seats in the seating bowl; 8- by-8 foot or 6-by-6-foot plots on the field; as well as picnic tables along the field’s warning track. People are encouraged to bring their own food and beverages (except no outside alcohol) as concessions “will be limited.”

All tickets are $15 per person. A limited number of tickets will be sold to ensure proper social distancing can be maintained throughout the event. Tickets are available online at www.bingrp.com as well as over the phone by calling (607) 722-FUNN (3866). The Rumble Ponies did not say what the crowd limit would be for the event.

All spectators are required to wear a face mask while attending 3rd at the Ballpark while in common areas.
