The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) is powering up for a $1.1 million energy-efficiency rebate program for the state’s municipal governments.
The Buy Green, Save Green Rebates for New York State Local Governments program starts Sept. 25. It will pay 75 percent of the purchase price of eligible products local governments buy after that date.
Qualifying products include Energy Star refrigerators, dehumidifiers, commercial dishwashers, air conditioners, copiers, fax machines, printers, scanners, and mailing machines. Compact fluorescent light bulbs and light-emitting diode bulbs purchased in batches of 10 or more also qualify, as do advanced power strips bought at least two at a time.
