O’Brien & Gere opens new office in Utica

UTICA — Syracuse–based engineering firm O’Brien & Gere today announced the opening of an office to serve its clients in the Utica area.

 

The Utica office, situated at 101 First St. in the HURD building, is the firm’s eighth office in New York state.

 

O’Brien & Gere also operates offices in Clay, Albany, Binghamton, Buffalo, Rochester, and Hawthorne in Westchester County.

The company’s client base in the Mohawk Valley includes Special Metals Corp. in New Hartford, Burrows Paper Corp. in Little Falls, ConMed Corp., a medical-device maker in Utica, and Mohawk Valley EDGE, an economic-development organization based in Rome.

 

O’Brien & Gere’s municipal clients include the city of Utica, Oneida County, the town of Whitestown, and the Mohawk Valley Water Authority.

 

Its engineers work to solve problems in energy, water, environmental, and facilities systems.

The firm employs about more than 900 people in 26 offices around the country.
