Instead, OCC will use With Love,’s space at 435 North Salina St. to support food-system entrepreneurship in collaboration with Syracuse Urban Partnership.

With Love, will host on-site workshops through OCC’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC) to support entrepreneurs in CenterState CEO’s Up Start program. Workshops will be adapted to the needs of the entrepreneurs.

Topics will include business-plan development, business formation, financial planning, marketing plan, organizational management, and e-commerce.

Syracuse Urban Partnership will also provide training in ServSafe food handling, recipe costing, scaling and sourcing, and preventive maintenance for Up Start students. Participants will also use With Love, as a commissary kitchen and small event space to support the work of local food entrepreneurs.

The With Love, restaurant opened to the public in December 2016. Students enrolled in OCC’s food service management and line cook training programs learned and worked there.

The cuisine changed every six months along with the restaurateur or entrepreneur in residence. Cuisines have included Pakistan, Vietnam, Palestine, Burma, Somalia, and Savannah/Low Country.

Adam Sudmann, who was the program manager at With Love, is now market manager at Salt City Market.

“We’re looking forward to collaborating with Adam again as With Love, continues its educational mission. We’re proud of the diverse cuisines we were able to introduce to the region and look forward to seeing With Love, continue to help entrepreneurs turn their dreams into successful businesses which strengthen our economy and produce food we will all enjoy,” OCC President Casey Crabill said in a statement.
