Oneida Community Mansion House opens more guest rooms

ONEIDA, N.Y. — The Oneida Community Mansion House recently opened six new overnight guest rooms at the Inn at the Mansion House, located at 170 Kenwood Avenue.

Each room includes access to common spaces, a tour of the museum, and complimentary breakfast. All 13 rooms at the Inn, which were recently renovated, feature historic images from Oneida County and Oneida Ltd.

The mansion house is located on 33 acres that includes landscaped lawns, gardens, trails, and a historic golf course.

All proceeds from room rentals support preservation efforts and educational programming.

The Oneida Community Mansion House is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization with an educational charter from the New York State Board of Regents. The mansion was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1965. The organization’s mission is to use the historic site and associated collection to share the story of the Oneida Community, a religious Utopian community founded by John Humphrey Noyes in 1848.

The house is open for visitors for self-guided and guided tours by appointment. The gardens, grounds, and trails are free to the public year-round.
