ROME, N.Y. — Precision Clinical Laboratories (PCL) has partnered with Oneida County to provide drive-thru COVID-19 testing at Griffiss International Airport Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The service began today, Feb. 7.
“We are pleased that Precision Clinical Laboratories will be using our county facility at Griffiss to provide another COVID-19 testing option to our residents,” Oneida County Executive Anthony J. Picente, Jr, said in a release.

Clinton-based PCL uses an RT-PCR test that is a self-administered nasal swab. Results are generally available within 24 hours of sample collection. Tests are free with most insurance, and the cost is $125 for those without insurance.
The drive-thru test site at Griffiss is located at 706 Hangar Road in Rome. Appointments are not necessary.
PCL partnered with the county last month to provide testing at Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, Utica National Insurance Group in New Hartford, and Hart’s Hill Inn in Whitesboro.
