Oneida County announces additional possible public exposure to virus at area stores

UTICA, N.Y. — Oneida County officials on Tuesday reported recent, possible public exposure to the coronavirus at area retailers including Rite Aid in New Hartford and Aldi in Utica.

The details of the recent potential exposures are as follows:

The county also reported the following COVID-19 statistics:

• 12 new virus cases (2 are nursing-home residents), 1,045 total
• No new deaths, 49 total
• 50 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized in Oneida County (41 at MVHS, 9 at Rome Memorial)
• 4 are admitted in hospitals outside Oneida County
• 40 hospitalized patients are from nursing homes (32 at MVHS, 8 at Rome Memorial)
• 398 active positive cases
• 598 positive cases have been resolved
• 19,551 total tests have been conducted.
• 18,506 total negative results
• 823 people are under mandatory quarantine
• 620 are under precautionary quarantine
• 10,718 total have been discharged from mandatory and precautionary quarantine
