Oneida County also reported the following COVID-19 statistics on Thursday:
- 9 new virus cases (none are nursing-home residents), 2,033 total (In comparison, the county reported 24 cases on Wednesday)
- 0 new COVID-19-related deaths, 115 total
- 10 coronavirus patients are hospitalized in Oneida County (9 at MVHS, 1 at Rome Memorial), up from 7 the day before
- 2 patients are hospitalized outside Oneida County, unchanged from a day prior
- 4 hospitalized patients in the county are nursing-home residents receiving acute care (all 4 at MVHS), up from 2 the day before
- 226 active positive cases, up by 4 since Wednesday
- 1,692 people with the virus have recovered, up 5 in the last day
- 73,817 total tests have been conducted.
- 71,784 total negative results
- 226 people are in mandatory isolation, up 4 from a day prior
- 1,056 are in mandatory quarantine, up 6 since Wednesday
The county’s infection rate was 0.87 percent in the last day with 9 positives out of 1,033 total tests.
