UTICA, N.Y. — The number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 in Oneida County hospitals has increased nearly 80 percent in the last week as the virus spreads in the county and the region.
Officials on Monday said 73 people are hospitalized in Oneida County with the illness (56 at MVHS and 17 at Rome Memorial). That’s up from 41 a week ago. Another 7 county residents are currently hospitalized outside of Oneida County, unchanged from a week prior.
Going back only four weeks to Nov. 2, just 14 patients were in Oneida County hospitals with COVID-19.
