Oneida County reports 22 COVID-19 cases, no deaths in last day

UTICA, N.Y. — Oneida County on Wednesday reported that 22 people tested positive for the coronavirus, down one from 23 cases the prior day.

Oneida County also reported the following COVID-19 statistics:

  • The 22 cases brings the county’s total to 1,936
  • No new COVID-19-related deaths, 111 total
  • 13 coronavirus patients are hospitalized in Oneida County (11 at MVHS, 2 at Rome Memorial), down by 3 from a day ago
  • 1 patient is admitted in a hospital outside Oneida County, down from 2 the day before
  • 5 hospitalized patients in the county are nursing-home residents receiving acute care (4 at MVHS, 1 at Rome Memorial)
  • 232 active positive cases, up 7 from a day ago
  • 1,593 people with the virus have recovered, up 15 from the day before
  • 66,673 total tests have been conducted
  • 64,737 total negative results
  • 232 people are in mandatory isolation, up 7 from a day earlier
  • 900 are in mandatory quarantine, down 71 from Tuesday

The county’s infection rate was 2.17 percent in the latest day with 22 positives out of 1,016 total tests.
