Oneida County reports 6 COVID deaths in latest day

UTICA, N.Y. — Oneida County on Monday reported 6 new COVID-19-related deaths, bringing the county’s total to 243 since the pandemic started.

In the last three weeks, 66 people have died from the disease.

Oneida County also reported the following other COVID-19 numbers on Monday:

  • 173 new positive cases, 13,167 total

    (12 were nursing-home residents)

  • 5,259 active positive cases
  • 174 patients are hospitalized in Oneida County.

            o          159 at MVHS

            o          15 at Rome Memorial

      (13 of the 174 patients are nursing-home residents)

  • 13 additional people are hospitalized out of Oneida County
  • 5,165 people have recovered from COVID-19
  • 378,210 total negative results
  • 391,377 total tests
  • 5,259 people are in mandatory isolation
  • 1,640 are in mandatory quarantine
