UTICA, N.Y. — Oneida County on Tuesday reported that three county residents died from COVID-19 in the last day.
That followed three deaths each on Sunday and Saturday as well. A total of 540 people have died from the disease since the pandemic started.
The county’s coronavirus-test positivity rate was 8.5 percent in the last day, up from 4.3 percent three week ago.

The other COVID data Oneida County reported Tuesday included the following:
- 191 new positive cases, 33,422 total
- 1,394 active positive cases, up from 1,001 on Nov. 9
- 2,338 people are in mandatory isolation & quarantine
- 88 Oneida County residents are hospitalized
- (55 of the hospitalized are unvaccinated/33 are vaccinated)
- (64 of the hospitalized are at MVHS/15 at Rome Health/9 out of county)
- 18 of total hospitalized are in the ICU (15 unvaccinated/3 vaccinated)
